The Atlantis System
Atlantis is a unique and patented product, developed and manufactured exclusively by i3 for the installation of fibre optic cable into existing cold water domestic supply pipes. This is achieved by installing a specially designed fitting at the start and end location of the supply pipe and inserting a micro-duct between the two fittings, through which the fibre optic cable can later be blown without coming into contact with the water supply. By utilising the existing water pipe as a conduit, there is no requirement for expensive, disruptive and potentially damaging excavation work and our approach leaves little or no visible evidence on the surface. Atlantis uses a compression branch fitting, a commonly utilised solution for water fittings, which ensures ease of installation. The majority of Atlantis parts are manufactured in the UK from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) material, which is approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).

- Fittings designed for use with metric SDR11, Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) pipes to BS 6572.
- Branch fitting designed for 25mm (1 in) MDPE pipe - stepped couplings available for other sizes & materials.
